Kenyan world record holder Eliud Kipchoge’s NN Running Team has announced that he would compete in the 2022 Berlin Marathon in September.
Kipchoge, who won back-to-back Olympic gold medals in Rio and Tokyo, will be attempting to match Ethiopian great Haile Gebrselassie by winning a fourth Berlin Marathon.
The 37-year-old has an unrivalled record in the marathon, having won 14 of his 16 career appearances.
Kenya will be represented at the World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon, next week by Lawrence Cherono, Geoffrey Kamworor, and Barnabas Kiptum.
