Mark Zuckerberg, Meta CEO, has revealed that WhatsApp is working on more emoji reactions for its users.
“We’re rolling out the ability to use any emoji as a reaction on WhatsApp,” he said in a Facebook post.
The new feature comes only a few months after WhatsApp introduced the ability to respond with merely six emoticons.
The functionality is accessed simply by holding down the message you want to respond to until a menu containing all emoji reactions appears.
The app will include a plus icon that lets you add more emoji reactions. The new feature has been spotted in Beta versions on both iOS and Android.
It is expected to be globally available in the coming weeks.
