A 24-year-old man is being treated at Tenwek Hospital in Bomet county after cutting off his private parts while under the influence of drugs.
Linus kipangat rono was seen bleeding profusely and having difficulty walking after he chopped off his manhood with a knife and threw away the parts.
According to Geoffrey Korir, Kiplabotwo location chief, his mother confronted him about why he was limping, and he revealed that he had cut them off.
Neighbors were called to assist in the search for the chopped parts, which were found inside the compound.
He was immediately taken to Tenwek hospital for treatment.
“Our worry is if the chopped parts will be reconnected. The boy has been deep in drugs for a while, no one thought of him going to that extent,” the chief said
At the same time, Mr. Korir stated that he had mobilized his security team, which included members of the Nyumba Kumi, to help create awareness about the dangers of drugs.
