DCI Post For Kinoti’s Successor Advertised

    Following the resignation of George Kinoti, the National Police Service Commission (NPSC) has advertised a vacancy for the position of Director of Criminal Investigation.

    In an advertisement posted on Thursday, September 29, the commission outlined seven requirements that applicants must meet.

    Candidates must be Kenyan citizens and hold a degree from a Kenyan university, among other requirements.

    The commission’s chairperson Eliud Kinuthia said interested candidates have seven days to apply for the position before the October 6 deadline. 

    “Applicants must be citizens of Kenya, hold a degree from a recognized university,10 years experience in management and proven knowledge in criminal investigations and policing and meet requirements for chapter six of Constitution of Kenya 2010,” Kinuthia said.

    In terms of work experience, the commission will pick a candidate who has knowledge of management, law, economics, change management, finance, governance, or public administration.

    During the application process, interested applicants will also be required to get clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) and the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).

    Other clearance certificates those eying the job will present are good conduct certificates from the DCI and Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) clearance.
