‘Brother-in Law’ Offers To Mediate In Child Custody Stalemate

Barely a week after Uzalendo News published a story of an American woman pleading with the Government to help her retrieve her child from her Kenyan ex-husband, a brother now asked to be linked with the distressed woman.

A man named Jerome claiming to be a brother-in-law to the said woman called Uzalendo News top leadership requesting to be linked with Emely Sarita, the said woman.

Jerome lamented that he has no way of reaching the woman to discuss some sensitive matters with her.

When requested to put public some of the matters he thought were necessary for the News house to help him reach Miss Sarita, Jerome declined to go on record.

He said the issue is complex and sensitive hence he could not go on record at whatever cost. He further claimed that he is not in talking terms with the alleged husband who is his brother.

Miss Sarita appealed to the Kenyan Government to enforce a court order issued by the Children’s court requiring her former husband to surrender the 6-years old daughter to the custody of the mother.

Ndiritu Wachira Muriuki, the fugitive husband is said to have abducted the minor at the United States of America and flew with her to Kenya without her consent.

The court in ruling said that Muriuki should handover the minor to the mother at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, however, he defeated all attempts to have him deliver the child.
