Police in Matungulu have started investigating the cause of the death of a primary school headteacher whose lifeless body was found in his rented house.
Confirming the incidence, OCPD Matungulu Peter Omondi said the lifeless body of the 50 year old Kantafu Primary School headteacher who had been recently transferred to the institution was found after breaking the door which had been locked from inside.
The police boss confirmed that his colleagues had tried to reach out to him through his mobile phone while calls went unanswered.
“Some of the teachers called him and he was not picking up the calls which forced them to go to his house and check him.on arrival,the door was locked from inside thus raising suspicion. They visited Malaa police station and reported where our officers went and broke the door only to find his lifeless body.”
Omondi has confirmed that there were no physical injuries but said the body had been ferried to Kangundo hospital morgue awaiting autopsy.
“We did not see any physical injuries but we will wait for the postmortem to be done at the facility to ascertain the cause of the teacher’s death saying investigations have been launched.
