Ruto Leading Kenyans Nowhere — Raila

Raila Odinga, the head of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance, now claims that President William Ruto’s first 100 days were a waste of time.

Raila stated that the Kenya Kwanza administration scored below average, giving them a mean score of 4 out of 10.

Raila stated in a statement that Kenyans are worse off than they were during the campaigns when the Ruto-led United Democratic Alliance made a litany of promises.

“Where Kenyans expected and deserved a massive stimulus package to bail them out of the devastating economic circumstances, they got hit with the cancellation of the subsidies that had cushioned millions from the pain. In these 100 days, the government pulled more Kenyans out of the frying pan and threw them into the flames.” he said.

The ODM leader went on to say that since Ruto took over the country, no clear strategy or economic roadmap for today and the future has been presented.

“We see no strategy to transition this economy from anemic growth to recovery and, eventually, prosperity,” he added.

Raila stated that what has occurred in the last 100 days shows a flagrant contempt for Kenya’s Constitution, particularly Chapter Six.

He claimed that Ruto’s administration has showed little interest in cutting the cost of critical goods, generating employment, expanding output, or bringing people out of poverty, as promised during elections.

“The administration is removing even the meager assistance that Kenya was providing to its needy citizens. It’s a tragic twist of destiny for millions of people who were fooled into thinking this dictatorship would be pro-poor.”
