Raila Odinga, the leader of the Azimio coalition, has announced a reshuffle in the Senate Minority leadership, naming Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina as the new Minority Whip.
Ole Kina replaces Isiolo Senator Fatuma Dullo.
In the new changes, Nairobi senator Edwin Sifuna will deputize Ledama.
Steward Madzayo and Enoch Wambua were retained as the minority leader and deputy minority leader, respectively.
The former Prime Minister stated that the changes were made to improve the Azimio coalition’s performance and agenda in the upper house, as well as to foster senator unity and cooperation.
“We have asked our members to continue to represent Azimio effectively in the House. Azimio stands for the defense of the people of Kenya,” Odinga said.
