The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission EACC has urged the Police to fully cooperate with the institution in stopping criminals.
The body’s director of investigations, Pascal Kasoa, said that crime in the country, and corruption can only be dealt with if the police fully collaborate with EACC.
All drug lords in Machakos County’s Mwala Subcounty have also been put on notice.
Pascal Kasoa was officiating the handover of the Mbiuni Police Station ablution block Mbiuni, Machakos County.
Mwala Subcounty Police Commander Nancy Jerobon, who was also present, stated that drug trafficking has been rampant in the area, particularly in Masii and Mbiuni, but that the barons are on the police radar.
OCS Martin Wekesa of Mbiuni police station revealed that they had arrested four notorious drug barons in the area, but one escaped their radar and is still being pursued.
The key speakers also emphasized the importance of community policing in reducing crime in the area.
The Kitui Law Courts Magistrate and the area MCA were among the guests who attended the event on Friday.
