Water PS Signs MOU With Kericho Governor for Reduction of Non-Revenue Water

Paul Kipronoh, principal secretary of the state Department of Water and sanitation, took a thorough tour of Kericho county and examined and commissioned water projects there.

The projects surveyed include the Water Supply Systems at Duka Moja, a tour of the New Kimugu Intake and Treatment Works, the Timbilil Treatment Works, the Soliat Dam and proposed Kenya Water Institute site, the Soin Technical Institute, Kaplelartet, and the Commissioning of Kapsoit Water Supply.

PS Ronoh and Dr. Erick Mutai, the governor of Kericho County, also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to reduce the county’s 52% non-revenue water (NRW).

The PS also flagged the county’s Water Police trucks, noting that the Ministry has increased efforts to safeguard water infrastructure, just like any other crucial government facility that is covered by the law.
