A middle-aged man died on Tuesday morning after being hit by a Nairobi-bound train in Kibos, Kisumu County.
Locals were terrified when they discovered the dismembered body parts of an unidentified man strewn across the railway line.
According to Patrick Otieno, a Kibos resident, the body parts included the head, abdomen, hands, and intestines.
Kisumu Railways police chief Evans Gatembe confirmed the incident, saying the unknown man was hit by the 6 a.m. cargo train.
According to Gatembe, the deceased appeared drunk and did not move despite the train hooting several times.
According to the police chief, the body was taken to the Jaramogi Ogonga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary as investigations began.
