‘Adolescence,’ ‘The Studio,’ and ‘The Pitt’ Dominate 77th Primetime Emmy Awards

The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards were a historic night for streaming television as Adolescence (Netflix), The Studio (Apple TV+), and The Pitt (HBO) swept the top honors across drama, comedy, and limited series categories.

Apple TV+’s The Studio emerged as the night’s biggest winner with 13 awards, setting a record for the most wins ever for a comedy series in a single season.

Creator and star Seth Rogen walked away with trophies for Best Comedy Actor, Writing, and Directing, with the show also clinching Best Comedy Series.

In the drama category, HBO’s The Pitt claimed the coveted Best Drama Series award. Veteran actor Noah Wyle celebrated a career milestone by winning Best Actor in a Drama, while Katherine LaNasa took home Best Supporting Actress.

Netflix’s Adolescence dominated the Limited or Anthology Series categories, winning six awards including Best Limited Series.

Its young star Owen Cooper made history as the youngest ever male winner in the Supporting Actor category at just 15 years old.

Stephen Graham and Erin Doherty also earned acting honors for their powerful performances.

The ceremony also saw Severance the most-nominated show with 27 nods takes home select acting prizes, while Hacks star Jean Smart extended her record with a fourth Emmy win for Best Comedy Actress.
