Kenya Backs Ajay Banga For World Bank President

President William Ruto stated that Mr Banga possesses the qualifications to lead the Bretton Woods institution to the next level. 

Kenya has endorsed Ajay Banga’s candidacy as the World Bank Group’s next President.

He was speaking on Wednesday at State House in Nairobi, Kenya, where he met with the former MasterCard CEO. 

“He has demonstrated success, notably in development; he will address global concerns,” Dr Ruto remarked. 

He mentioned women, poverty, agriculture, and climate change. 

The President stated that Mr Banga’s extensive experience will assist in responding quickly to new economic difficulties, delivering innovative achievements, and propelling the world to prosperity.
