Musalia Mudavadi, the party leader of the Amani National Congress (ANC), has been nominated for appointment as Prime Cabinet Secretary once President-elect William Ruto takes office.
Mr Mudavadi was unanimously nominated for the position by the party’s Council at a special meeting on Wednesday.
The Kenya Kwanza Alliance reached a pre-election agreement in the run-up to the August 9 General Election.
The new position to be created through an Executive Order was agreed upon by the founding party members of Kenya Kwanza.
The agreement was signed by President-elect William Ruto of UDA, Moses Wetangula of Ford Kenya and Musalia Mudavadi on behalf of the ANC party.
The Wednesday meeting called by the party Secretary General Simon Gikuru was virtually held according to a communication from the ANC Party.
Both ANC and Ford-Kenya will also get 30 per cent of government, including Cabinet slots, Principal Secretaries, High Commissioners and other State jobs, says the document.
