This summer, Arsenal will offer Marcus Rashford a way out of Old Trafford.Â
The Gunners are looking for a frontline striker and will add Manchester United’s striker to their list of targets. Following the departure of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Barcelona, Mikel Arteta requires a veteran forward.
And with both Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah out of contract, the Spaniard is low on options upfront.Â
During the January transfer window, the Gunners were linked with a number of attackers, but Rashford was not one of them.
However, a divide has emerged, with the striker facing criticism after an altercation with fans following Atletico Madrid’s Champions League defeat.
Rashford, 24, was compelled to issue an apology on social media following the incident, which did nothing to quell speculation that something is badly wrong at Old Trafford.
The forward’s current contract contains a one-year extension option, but he has dropped down the pecking order under interim manager Ralf Rangnick.
This season, he has only made nine Premier League starts and has only scored five goals in all competitions.
