Assistant Inspector-General of Police, who is incharge of the Joint Operations Centre William Sing’oei, has died.
Sing’oei’s was found dead in his home at the Embakasi Military Barracks.
Augustine Nthumbi, the Nairobi Regional Police Commander, confirmed the incident, adding that his juniors had tried unsuccessfully to contact him by phone since Tuesday.
His body has been taken to the City mortuary and a post mortem will be conducted to establish what led to his death.
The deceased has served in the National Police Service for 19 years and a mid-level manager for ten years.
He was among senior Government officials appointed to the National Covid-19 emergency team.
