A Police officer stationed at Athi River Police Lines was this morning found hanging on a tree in what cops say is a suicide incident.
According to a police report, Police constable Josphat Kiirinya did not leave any suicide note behind.
His body was taken to the Machakos Referral Hospital.
Police say investigations are underway to establish the cause of death.
The incident comes hardly a day after a KDF Soldier slit the throat of her partner in Utawala estate.
Mental health among security officers has been identified as a hinderance to effective service.
