Autopsy Scheduled for Bodies Found At Mukuru Quarry

The investigation into the gruesome discovery of 8 female bodies at a quarry in Mukuru continues to unfold.

According to the Director of Criminal Investigations, Amin Mohamed, an autopsy is set to be conducted on Monday, July 15.

“We intend to conduct postmortem examinations tomorrow and we are inviting all stakeholders, civil society, family members, members of the fourth estate because we are not hiding anything. 

The investigation into the discovery of eight female bodies at a quarry in Mukuru is intensifying, with detectives revealing that the victims were all between the ages of 18 and 30.

According to Director of Criminal Investigations Amin Mohamed, the bodies were found to be in a similar state of disarray, with signs of severe mutilation.

“I’m convinced that our investigators will get to the bottom of this issue,” Amin said, urging the public to exercise patience.

“We have deployed our best detectives to work on this case, and I’m confident that they will uncover the truth behind these gruesome murders.”

Acting Police IG Douglas Kanja revealed that five bags were recovered from the quarry on Saturday, three of which contained human body parts, while the other two contained dog food and garbage respectively.

The bodies, which were taken to Nairobi Funeral Home for preservation, showed signs of severe decomposition.

Kanja urged the public to come forward with any information that may aid in the investigation, saying, “We need the public’s collaboration and cooperation to bring those responsible for these heinous crimes to justice. Anyone with information should report to the homicide investigation unit at the DCI or visit their nearest police station.”

The families of the victims are still reeling from the shocking discovery, and the community is demanding justice.
