BAK Urges Kenyans To Embrace Dialogue in Protests as the Chaos Wreaks Havoc to the Bodaboda Sector

The Bodaboda Safety Association of Kenya (BAK) in a news release has asked Kenyans and young people to embrace dialogue in their current protests as the chaos is putting the sector in peril.

“As the bodaboda sector, we are unable to earn a living as per now because we entirely depend on movement of people in a peaceful environment, once there are chaos, our business is in vain putting a strain to our families at home,” said BAK.

BAK claimed that Some of the members were taken unexpectedly and found themselves in the heart of mayhem and were harmed and would not like this to happen again.

Bak expressed gratitude for the young people’s efforts to ensure that their needs and voices were heard. The organisation also expressed appreciation to H.E. President Dr. William Ruto, for hearing the concerns of Kenyans in general and youth in particular, and for acting honourably by pulling the 2024 finance bill.

The Association did want to remind Kenyans, though, that the nation is firmly based on the rule of law, and that they should respect the integrity of the constitution and give communication a chance to ensure the stability of the government.

“We therefore wish to urge our fellow Kenyans that, Kenya is a country strongly founded on the rule of law. We should not abuse the integrity of our constitution. Let’s give dialogue a chance for the stability of our beloved nation. This will lead to peace in this beautiful country we have,” said the Association.

“The more we lose lives and destroy properties, we deteriorate our economy making our livelihood become more painful. Let’s unite and stand for peace as we solve our issues,” BAK Urged.
