Baringo: Bandits Kill Police Reservist In Dawn Attack

According to a community leader Harrison Ole Meiguran, the bandits shot indiscriminately at the NPR officers who were providing security to a construction company working on road projects along the volatile areas of Mukutani.

Tension continues to escalate in Kiserian after an early morning attack by armed Pokot bandits who surrounded National Police Reservists (NPRs) guarding construction machines near Narokwe hills.

The bandits shot and killed an NPR officer on the spot, while three others escaped death narrowly.

The incident comes a day after Baringo South Charles Kamuren hit out at County Commissioner Stephen Kutwa during Mashujaa Day celebrations in Marigat stadium over alleged laxity in flushing out regrouping armed bandits at Mukutani.
