A Kenya Revenue Authority staffer died in strange circumstances on Saturday, after he was attacked by a swarm of bees.
Mr John Mutwiri, attached to the Investigations department was attacked by the swarm of bees at Makupa Area, Mombasa, as he and his friends were driving to an unknown destination.
He died on arrival at Coast General Hospital.
KRA through a press statement described Mutwiri as a selfless worker in the department who valued his colleagues.
“He undertook his duties diligently and remained committed to the tenets of a world-class tax investigative and enforcement officer. We are heartbroken at this loss of a dependable colleague, and we will dearly miss him even as we celebrate his professionally achieved milestones.”
“We pray that the almighty will comfort Mr Mutwiri’s family, friends and colleagues, during this trying moment.”
