Police inMigori county have destroyed 1,524 kilograms of bhang with a street value of 15.2 Milion Kenya shillings.
The confiscated stash was torched in the presence of both court officials and police officers in the county.
According to the police, the illegal marijuana was presented before the court about three years ago, as an exhibit that the police used against a trafficker.
Authorities begged the locals to help smoke out bhang traffickers in the area, in order to save the ailing youth in the county.
Statistical data indicates that stashes of bhang nabbed in the area are usually in Transit from Tanzania and that the Police will do all in its power to break the drug trafficking ring.
