BIG WIN! MSS, Haitian Police Recapture Telecommunication Station from Gangs

In the early hours of Monday, August 25, 2025, joint forces from the Multinational Security Support Mission (MSS) and the Haitian National Police (PNH) launched a coordinated night operation that successfully retook Télcos Station from the control of gangs led by the notorious figure known as “Izo2.”

The raid, carried out between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m., saw specialized units methodically sweep the area, going door to door to eliminate armed resistance.

Several gang members were captured while attempting to flee or hide, and a cache of weapons and materials was seized.

In addition, MSS and PNH teams began dismantling roadblocks that gangs had erected along key routes to Télcos and Kenscoff, restoring safe passage for residents.

PNH Director General Vladimir Paraison and MSS Force Commander Godfrey Otunge declared the operation a turning point, warning that the era of gang impunity is over.

They emphasized that armed groups who defy state authority will face decisive action, with more targeted operations already planned.
