Students of Kapchepkoro Secondary School in Bomet County are in mourning after an officer manning the ongoing KCSE examinations collapsed and died.
According to Bomet County Police Commandant Robinson Ndiwa, the officer did his duties flawlessly during the morning session before complaining of chest problems during the afternoon, causing his supervisor to seek advice from relevant authorities.
Mr Ndiwa stated that he was rushed to Kaplong Hospital following a rapid consultation while arrangements were made to accommodate another officer as a replacement.
The cop was pronounced deceased at the hospital, according to the county executive.
“It’s unfortunate that we have lost him. He was a good officer serving at Sotik prison. Before the start of the KCSE exams, he was full of life interacting with his colleagues without showing any signs of weakness,” added Ndiwa.
