A suspect in tactical gear who was live-streaming the attack killed ten people in a racially motivated mass shooting at a supermarket in Buffalo on Saturday, according to law enforcement officials.

Here’s what we know about the attack so far:

The suspect arrived at the Tops Friendly Markets store around 2:30 p.m. ET, according to Buffalo Police Commissioner Joseph Gramaglia. He shot four people in the parking lot while wearing tactical gear, according to Gramaglia, and then went inside the store, where a security guard engaged him. The suspect shot and killed the guard before “working his way through the store,” according to Gramaglia.

Officials said Saturday that 13 people were shot, 10 of whom died. Four people were shot, including the security guard, who worked at the store. According to Gramaglia, 11 of the 13 victims are black and two are white.

According to the FBI, the mass shooting in Buffalo on Saturday is being investigated as a hate crime. Officials gave no further details. “We will bring all of the federal government’s resources to bear on this case,” Stephen Belongia, special agent in charge of the FBI Buffalo field office, said at a press conference.

Two federal law enforcement officials told CNN that investigators are reviewing a purported manifesto posted online in connection with the Buffalo mass shooting probe.

The suspect was arraigned Saturday evening in Buffalo City Court Chief Judge Craig Hannah’s courtroom, the judge told CNN. The suspect was charged with first-degree murder, Hannah said.
