A businessman was today convicted and sentenced to serve 7 hours unpaid labour at the Court premises for fighting in public and causing public nuisance.
Mohamed Mwaura Keigi was convicted after pleading guilty to fighting with Esther Muia Wambua who too is a business lady selling secondhand clothes at Ngara Figtree Footbridge.
The two are said to have pulled a fight after accusing each other of trespassing.
Mohamed Mwaura is said to have passed along Esther Muia’s place of work as he was taking his sack of secondhand bags to store after closing his work in the evening.
Esther is said to have been angered by the alleged trespass and quarreled with her a colleague resulting to a fight causing commotion.
Mohamed Mwaura pleaded guilty and was sentenced to work 7 hours unpaid labour.
Esther pleaded not guilty and was released on Ksh 5,000 free bond.
