Court Issues Huge Blow To CBC Accomplices

Following today’s mega ruling on the case, a three-judge bench constituted to hear the impending Competency-Based Curriculum case has delivered a morning shocker to the Kenyan government.

The court refused to dismiss the case challenging the validity of the Competency-Based Curriculum, stating that the case raises fundamental principles of public importance and that its outcome will be critical in championing the future and well-being of Kenyan children.

The Kenyan government through the office of the Attorney General had urged the court to dismiss the petition challenging the Competency-Based Curriculum because the state had already rolled out the education system and no tangible factors were impeding its progress.

Esther Ang’awa, a petitioner, had questioned the legitimacy of CBC, claiming that the government had failed to conduct reasonable public participation before implementing it.
