The Central Bank of Kenya on Tuesday welcomed Dr. Susan Jemtai Koech as the newly appointed Deputy Governor.
In a statement, CBK governor Patrick Njoroge congratulated Koech on her new role.
“On behalf of the CBK Board, Management and Staff, I take this opportunity to congratulate Dr. Koech on her appointment and warmly welcome her to the Bank,” Njoroge said in a statement.
Dr. Koech joins CBK after a distinguished career in which she served in senior roles in the banking sector and in the government, most recently as Principal Secretary in the State Departments of East African Community, Regional Development, and Wildlife.
Dr. Koech holds a Ph.D. in Business Management and a Master’s degree in Business Administration.
She was appointed by President Ruto in a gazette notice dated March 10, 2023.
