CCTV Footage Reveals Suspects in Boda Boda Delivery Rider Murder in South B Apartment

By John Mutiso

CCTV footage has revealed the final moments of delivery rider Antony Otieno, whose body was later found bound and hidden under a bed inside a rental room at Meridian Apartment in South B, Nairobi.

The chilling recordings begin on Tuesday, November 18, at 11:49 AM, showing Otieno arriving at the building with a blue delivery bag believed to contain an iPhone 17 Pro Max meant for a client.

He is seen taking the elevator to the fourth floor while making a phone call, apparently trying to locate the person who had ordered the delivery.

Minutes later, the sequence takes a disturbing turn.

At 12:02 PM, CCTV cameras capture a man leaving the room via the staircase while still holding the same blue bag Otieno had carried.

Another man descends the stairs hurriedly, followed by a third suspect who appears half-naked and rushes downstairs clutching a package.

According to the footage, the three men appear visibly shaken as they hurriedly zip the bag.

Shortly afterward, a Nissan Note, registration number KDL 336E, pulls up outside; two of the suspects enter the vehicle.

Moments later, a woman wearing a cape arrives at the scene and is handed the suspects’ luggage before the car drives off.

Rewound CCTV clips from Monday, November 17, show the same bag linked to the crime arriving at the apartment much earlier.

At 7:22 AM, one of the suspects is seen entering the building carrying the bag, accompanied by another man.

By 1:00 PM, they are joined by a woman wearing an outfit later recognized in the footage from the day of the murder.

At 6:00 PM, the same woman is captured again, this time leaving the building using the elevator and carrying the same bag.

The rental unit where the murder occurred belongs to Charity Muthoni Muchoki, who told investigators she first received a call from a prospective client requesting to rent the room for a month.

She confirmed the booking and expected payment the following day.

On Tuesday, November 18, at 9:30 AM, Muchoki says the guests sent her a message claiming they would settle the accommodation bill by 4 PM.

When she went for a routine check-up earlier in the day, one of the men insisted she return later in the evening.

Growing suspicious, she lingered around the building; her suspicions intensified when she saw the men hurriedly leaving the premises with the blue bag.

She confronted them and demanded payment. When they failed to comply, she seized the bag, prompting her to check the room.

Upon reaching the fourth-floor apartment, Muchoki found the door locked.

After unlocking it, she immediately noticed bloodstains on the floor.

Alarmed, she called neighbors for help. Together, they searched the room and discovered a man’s body shoved under the bed.

The victim, later identified as the delivery rider, had his hands and feet tied with rope, and a piece of cloth stuffed into his mouth.
