A family has gifted their daughter a Bible during her wedding ceremony and advised her to read the scriptures to get God’s guidance.

It was a rare show of humility and a God’s love and unlike other parents who gift their children household items, this couple went for the Bible.

Rev. Fredrick Kazungu Masha a pastor made the announcement during the colorful wedding ceremony held at Chafisi Baptist church attended by hundreds of faithful to witness the marriage of his fourth born child Pauline Fredrick.

In his Speech Kazungu the Pastor of the Chafisi Baptist church said even though he had given other gifts to his daughter and son-in-law back home he chose the bible as the key present during the church ceremony where the two exchanged vows.

The Man of God who is also the Bishop of CBEM Africa said he did not want his daughter to be brought up in Kikuyu or Giriama custom but in God.

He said the bible contained all the other advises left out while he and his wife together with other church leaders gave it to the couple.

“I have given the bible as a great gift as a father and a pastor having already given my daughter gist at home but the greatest gift, I have given her now is the bible because that is where all the teachings of God come from all that we have not told her they can learn from that bible,” he said.

The father of six said he was happy to see his daughter wed because as a pastor he has officiated over 30 wedding ceremonies but had great challenges from the devil.

Kazungu said he has been praying with his daughter so that the lord restores his ministry of officiating marriages because he is licensed to officiate marriages.

“I have officiated more than 30 marriages but I have seen the devil really attacking my family, and I have seen when the devil tries to attempt me and I resist the devil goes to my wife and if she resists, she goes to our children,” he said.

He said for that reason that he ensured he was close to his children prayed with them and give them advice from God.

The bride’s mother Beatrice Fredrick thanked God for answering their prayers to see their loved one getting married in a wedding.

“We continue praying to God, he has been faithful to us, today we are going to officially oversee Pauline’s wedding today,” she said.

Evans Vidzo a brother of the bride said he was happy that the wedding had been very successful and thanked all those who supported them, particularly those who were in the United States of America.
