Champions League Draw Live: PSG, Liverpool, Chelsea And Others Await Matchups

It’s UEFA Champions League draw day! How about a Champions League final rematch in the Round of 16? Or perhaps Real Madrid vs. PSG for the second straight season?

Those are just a couple of the potential pairings in the 2022/23 Champions League Round of 16 when the draw takes place on Monday, November 7 at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.

Today’s draw will see eight ties made with a group stage winner drawn against a runner-up. There are plenty of exciting match-ups to be made.

An Inter Milan vs. Tottenham would see Antonio Conte face the Italian club he led to a league title, while Chelsea vs. RB Leipzig could pit Timo Werner against his former employers.

There are a total of 16 teams that survived the group stage. Surprisingly, PSG came in second place in their group behind Benfica, meaning they are sure to get a challenging opponent in the Round of 16.

Other potential opponents for PSG include Napoli, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Manchester City.

No same club from the same league and the same group can play each other in the Round of 16.

Teams are divided into two groups. The first group is of seeded clubs, who have finished as table toppers in their groups, while unseeded clubs are those who have finished in the second spot in their group points table.

The seeded clubs are Bayern Munich, Napoli, Porto, Real Madrid, Tottenham, Benfica, Chelsea, and Manchester City.

The unseeded clubs are AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Club Brugge, Liverpool, Paris St-Germain(PSG), Eintracht Frankfurt, Inter Milan, Leipzig.
