Charter House Bank customers pay day

Charter House Bank depositors are to got a Madaraka Day gift vide the payment of their deposits.


The Bank, which has been under Central Bank of Kenya receivership since June 2006 was taken over by the Government over allegations of money laundering, missing account opening documents, and alleged tax evasion.


The customers will claim a maximum of Sh.500,000 worth of their deposits. Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation will pay out the depositors.


The Corporation has directed the bank customers to stake their claims for their cash.
