Its parent business, the Chinese brand Kunlun Tech, first announced its ambitions with little information on Wednesday.
However, Norway-based Opera has subsequently disclosed some specifics about how their ChatGPT-based browser will function.
“AI-generated content services to the browser sidebar,” according to a news statement from Opera.
Opera’s integration of ChatGPT into its browser comes on the heels of Microsoft’s adoption of OpenAI’s system into its own browser and Google’s announcement of its proprietary Bard AI tool.
Companies involved with browsers and search engines have taken a special interest in the AI popularity increase, especially since ChatGPT began as a browser-based application.
