Construction of the Nairobi Western Bypass

The Government of Kenya, through the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) contracted China Road and Bridge Corporation (K) to construct the Nairobi Western Bypass Project.

The 39 months project is jointly funded by the China Exim Bank and the Government of Kenya.
The construction of the Nairobi Western Bypass commenced in the year 2019 and is projected for completion by the end of the year 2022. The project is 40 percent complete.
