The embattled Kapsaret legislator Oscar Sudi is set to appear in court this morning to take plea on hate speech and incitement charges. – By Gerald Gekara.
Last week, Sudi was released on a Ksh.500,000 cash bail after winning an appeal against detaining him in Nakuru.
The prosecution will confirm whether they are ready to prefer charges against Oscar Sudi to which he will answer to.
The outspoken critic of President Uhuru Kenyatta is facing charges of hate speech, offensive conduct, resisting arrest, being in unlawful possession of a firearm and assault of a police officer.
His arrest followed after alleged offensive remarks directed to President Uhuru Kenyatta and former First Lady Mama Ngina Kenyatta.
Up until his arrest Oscar Sudi vowed not to apologize over his remarks, until the offended ones show him where he erred.
Sudi will most likely be accompanied by his allies, who have called out the government for intimidating politicians who disagree with the president.
