A police officer is nursing serious wounds after stabbing himself shortly after killing his wife.
The administrative police officer assigned to the Bomet police station stabbed his wife to death following a violent fight at their house in Bomet town.
According to Bomet central sub-county police chief Musa Omar, the 25-year-old woman was stabbed three times in the chest with a Masai sword and was discovered sprawled on the doorway, implying that she attempted to flee the attack.
According to accounts, the cop, 35, stabbed himself in the stomach with the same sword and was discovered unconscious on the floor of their home.
Neighbors who were alerted to the ruckus hurried to the scene and rescued a nine-month-old infant who had been left sobbing in the house after the two got into an argument.
According to Mr.Omar, the cop was transferred to Tenwek hospital in serious condition, while his wife’s body was sent to the Longisa County Referral Hospital Mortuary.
