Sarah Wairimu the wife of slain Dutch tycoon Tob Cohen has been granted access to her matrimonial home to collect some of her personal belongings.
High Court Judge Lady Justice Stella Mutuku ruled that Wairimu will only be allowed in to her Kitusuru home to collect particular items; clothes, shoes, handbags, grooming tools and wearable items.
Wairimu will so be under strict supervision of the Directorate of criminal Investigations (DCI) officers and her lawyer while collecting those items.
The court also directed that the collection of the items be restricted only to the rooms that she occupied before her arrest.
Wairimu, in her application had requested the court to allow her pick perishable foodstuffs and beverages including alcoholic and soft drinks stored in the kitchen, office and in her daughter’s bedroom.
She also requested to pick her car which is parked at the house so that she does not depend on lifts from relatives and friends.
However the court declined to have her access to any other items except her personal belongings.
