The Nairobi labour court has moved to block Kiambu county deputy governor, James Nyoro from reshuffling the Kiambu cabinet, as the court awaits the determination of a case filed by a voter.

The petitioner moved to court to challenge James Nyoro, who had immediately declared himself the acting governor, claiming that he was acting in violation of the constitution, amounting to an abuse of office.

This is a clear win for the embattled Governor Ferdinand Waititu, who is currently out of office over allegations of graft. Waititu was ordered to step aside to pave way for investigations into an alleged sh588 Million shilling illegal tender.
