A lecturer working in one of Africa’s best-ranked university, Kenyatta University, was shown the door after one of his thesis was flagged for plagiarism by its Nigerian writer.
According to reports at the Thika Road-based education complex, the lecturer is alleged to have copied a thesis belonging to a Nigerian lecturer from the Usmanu Danfodiyo University.
Prof Paul Wainaina, the Kenyatta University Vice-Chancellor, said the lecturer was suspended a month after. He later appealed to the case, which eventually flopped.
