Kenya’s coronavirus tally has surpassed the 30,000 mark after the Ministry of Health recorded 271 new cases. Kenya’s tally now at 30,120.
The new numbers were sourced from 3,746 tests done. This raises Kenya’s cumulative tests to 391,416.
Nairobi County led with (126) cases, followed by Busia (14), Kirinyaga (13), Machakos (12), Narok (12), Kiambu (11), Kajiado (10), Kitui (10), Nakuru (10), Kisumu (8), Samburu (8), Garissa (8), Mombasa (6).
Nyeri and Trans-Nzoia reported (4) cases, while Taita Taveta and Lamu had (3), Kakamega, Kisii each reported (2), and Bungoma, Kilifi, Makueni, Murang’a & each had (1) case.
686 more patients recovered from the disease raising the tally to 16,656 confirmed negative coronavirus patients. From the discharges, 60 were from various facilities and 626 from home-based care programs.

Two more patients died from the virus, further raising Kenya’s fatalities to 474.
