Police in Kiambu County have intensified their fight against illicit brew and narcotics after a major raid in Juja Sub-County led to the arrest of four suspected drug traffickers.
The operation, carried out in the Matangi area by officers from the Kiambu County Headquarters under the command of County Police Commander (CPC) Doris Mugambi, followed a tip-off from members of the public.
During the raid, police seized 2,085 rolls of cannabis, eight kilograms of unprocessed cannabis, 30 litres of chang’aa, 20 litres of muratina, and Ksh. 9,580 believed to be proceeds from the illegal trade.
The four suspects are currently in custody and are expected to be arraigned in court on Monday, September 8, 2025.
In a statement, the National Police Service commended members of the public for their vigilance and encouraged continued cooperation in exposing criminal networks. Authorities affirmed that the crackdown on illicit alcohol and narcotics will remain a priority in safeguarding communities across the county.
