Lawyer Danstan Omari has filed a law suit demanding Ksh 17.4 million from the Gender Culture, Arts, and Heritage Cabinet Secretary Aisha Jumwa.
In an advocate-client bill of costs court papers filed at the Mombasa Law court, Musyoki and Mogaka Company advocates is demanding Ksh.10 million as fees to cover instructions to represent Jumwa in the corruption case.
An additional Ksh.1.4 million is for drafting and filing submissions, notices of motion, and receiving and perusing a letter from the DPP and another Ksh.3 million is for attending court for hearings and mentions.
In the case Jumwa and seven others had been charged with conspiracy to commit an offence of corruption, conflict of interest, money laundering and acquisition of proceeds of crime.
