Kenya records 23 new positive cases of Coronavirus raising tally to 781
Kenya has recorded 23 new positive cases of coronavirus raising the tally of cases to 781.
Health CAS Rashid Aman said 2,100 samples were tested in the last 24 hours urging Kenyans to remain vigilant and observe the measures put in place to combat the disease.
The new cases were spread across; Nairobi with 11 cases, Mombasa 5, Kajiado 3, Kiambu 2, and Wajir 2.
In Nairobi the cases were spread across; Embakasi 6, Kamkunji 2, Lang’ata 2, and Starehe 1 while in Mombasa the 5 cases were recorded in Mvita.
In Kiambu the 2 cases were in Thika and those in Wajir recorded in Wajir East Sub County.
In Kajiado the 2 cases were from Truck drivers at the Namanga border while the other one was recorded in Kajiado Central.
In terms of age the youngest of todays new cases was 24 years and the oldest 85 years. Men have continued to take the highest number of infections. Out of the 23new cases, 18 were men while 5 were female.
3 more people have succumbed to the disease brining the total number of deaths to 43.
The government is set to announce new measures tomorrow when the dusk to dawn curfew is expected to end.
