Daft Punk have confirmed their break up after a career spanning over 28 years. The duo is considered to be one of the most influential electronic acts of all times. They confirmed the news in a new video that features them called Epilogue .which shows footage from their 2006 Sci-fi film Electroma.
The duo became known for their display of anonymity appearing behind robotic masks that would become not familiar to the public because of their mysterious image.
Their advertiser Kathryn Frazier has confirmed their split, but the reason as to why they called it quit is yet to be confirmed.
Their most recent album came in 2013 ‘Random Access Memories ‘ which featured people like Pharrell Williams and it saw them getting an award from the Grammys in 2014 for the album of the year.
The duo has maintained a low profile over the years before their split but they collaborated with the Weekend on two tracks Star boy and I feel it coming
They did their last performance in 2017 when they joined the weekend to perform the latter track at the Grammy’s .
