DCI Arrests Boda Boda Gang Leader In Moyale

DCI detectives in Nairobi have busted a syndicate that steals Boda Bodas countywide for sale to bandits.

The cops tracked the crooks from Nairobi to Moyale and arrested the crooks.

Police say the investigation had been going on for a long time.

The cops raided the suspected hideout of the masterminds and recovered 350 motorcycle logbooks, assorted sales agreements, motorcycle number plates, and assorted delivery notes in Moyale Town.

The stolen items were found in the residence of Isaack Hassan. He was promptly arrested.

The suspect and his accomplice Mohammed Ibrahim, aged 24, were arrested as they planned to escape the police dragnet.

Their arrest followed a raid conducted at a store in Eastleigh two weeks ago by Starehe based detectives, where several dozen of new motorbikes that had been stolen from a warehouse in an industrial area were recovered.

The discovery followed the disappearance of a motorbike in Western Kenya, that was tracked down to the Eastleigh store where other used motorcycles were also recovered.

Detectives have established that motorbikes stolen from various parts of the country find their way to the upper eastern and north eastern counties where they are sold to bandits.
