Seven Suspects linked to various cases of Sim & M-Pesa Float Swap fraud were yesterday arrested by the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Nairobi Area Detectives in two separate Houses at Kabete, Kiambu County.
Over 200 Sim Cards, numerous Mobile Phones and several Agent Registration Registers also confiscated in the early evening sweep.
The suspects, allegedly known as ‘Mulot Team’, are; Victor Rono- 23yrs, Mercy Chepkirui- 21yrs, Nicholas Kipkurui- 25yrs, Wesley Kiprono- 28yrs, Robert Kibet- 23yrs, Faith Chepkorir- 23yrs & Felix Tanui- 24yrs.
Kenyans who took to Twitter to congratulate the DCI for nabbing the fraudsters lamented that service providers take down the fraudsters since they are tarnishing their network credibility.
