The battle for supremacy between the country’s top sleuth, George Kinoti, and Chief Prosecutor Noordin Haji has reached new heights
Haji directed the Directorate of Criminal Investigations(DCI) boss George Kinoti to engage his junior officers at the office of the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) because those according to Haji are his (Kinoti) match in terms of Law.
Mr. Haji, the state officer in charge of public prosecution, says he only works with Police Inspector General Hilary Mutyambai. In regards to his relationship with Mr. Kinoti, Haji lowered Kinoti’s rank by stating that”I relate with the IG of police, the DCI should deal with my juniors at the ODPP.”
This new development is just one example of the two’s previous squabbles.
In May 2022, for instance, Kinoti accused Mr. Haji of forgery, accusing him of doctoring an attendance list of stakeholders attending a Terrorism and Terror Financing Act forum.
