DCI in pursuit of KRA staff found with untaxed Cigarettes worth 10 Million

The DCI is in pursuit of a KRA linked to uncustomed cigarettes worth Ksh.10 million.

According to reports from authorities, the official is said to be with an Administration Police Officer who is suspected to be an accomplice in the probe.

“Further investigations are ongoing including the search for KRA official and APS Kenya officer believed to have been escorting the lorry and escaped after they were intercepted by DCI detectives,” a tweet from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations reads.

The identity of the two is yet to be revealed even as two other suspects were arrested in Uasin Gishu, after being found in possession with cigarettes marked for export.
