Harambee House Annex

Officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations have pitched tent at Deputy President’s Harambee House Annex office, to investigate a fake weapons deal alleged to have orchestrated by a former Sports minister.

The DCI officers are said to be checking the CCTV footages, to ascertain the claim that the defrauded Polish military directors had been at the office.

This comes after Rashid Echesa, the former Sports Cabinet Secretary, was taken arrested, spending the rest of his weekend at the JKIA court.

The former minister appeared before the court to answer to 12 charges including an alleged attempt to make a document with intent to defraud Polish military dealers.

Echesa was arraigned alongside Daniel Otieno Omondi alias General Juma, Mr. Clifford Okoth Onyango alias Paul and Mr. Kennedy Oyoo Mboya.
