Preparations for this year’s annual thanksgiving mass for the disciplined services have kicked off in earnest, at DCI headquarters.
In an inter-agency committee meeting chaired by the Director in charge of Reforms at the Directorate Mr. Eliud K. Lagat, the committee finalized the planning for the event that brings together officers from at least 7 institutions.
The mass scheduled for next month on a date to be communicated later shall be held at the Holy Family basilica and the theme borrowed from the book of Isaiah 41:10 shall be ‘do not fear for I am with you.’
This comes after the responsibility to spearhead pastoral programs for the disciplined services for the next two years, was handed over to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
The mantle held on a rotational basis was handed over to the Directorate from the Administration Police Service in a thanksgiving mass held at Our Lady of Lourdes cathedral in Machakos.
This pastoral program brings together the seven disciplined services including the Kenya Police, Administration Police, DCI, Kenya Prisons, Kenya Wildlife, Kenya Forest and the National Youth Service.
